About BeFisetinFisetin is a plant polyphenol and part of the flavonoid group in the flavonol sub-category. The earliest record of isolated fisetin dates back to 1833 taken from the smoke bush (Rhus cotinus).
BeFisetin is extracted from Rhus succedanea( family Anacardiaceae). It possesses a long history of medicinal use for over 1500 years according to a classical Chinese herbology encyclopedia, “Bencao Shiyi/ A Supplement to Materia Medica”, from Tang Dynasty. The roots, twigs, and leaves can be used as medicine for dysphoria with feverish sensations and alcoholic jaundice.
The Encyclopedia of Romanian Ethnobotany also points to the use of the plant as medicine, employed for the treatment of wounds and pharyngitis.
The long-lasting and consistent use of Rhus succedanea in traditional medicine across countries offers a sound base for its therapeutic use and its safety.
Fisetin is naturally present in many plants, fuits and vegetables in trace amounts, including phyllanthus emblica, strawberries, apples, and persimmon etc.
Strawberries are a known food source that contains the highest amount of Fisetin. 625 gram of Strawberries can provide us 100mg Fisetin.
The best way to tell if an ingredint is 100% natural is to perform radiocarbon(C14) testing. The C14 testing result is reported as “% Biogenic Carbon”. This indicate the percentage carbon from “renewable”(biomass or animal by-product) sources versus petroleum(or otherwise fossil) source. 100% Biogenic Carbon indicates that a material is entirely sourced from plants.
Our C14 reports guarantee that BeFisetin is all-natural, no synthetic components was hidden.
According to public information, the Anacardiaceae (the cashew family, such as Rhus succedanea L., Rhus cotinus L. ) is an important source of industrial lacquer. By removing the lacquer substances in the crude product, we successfully obtained the highest purity of Fisetin.
Since the impurities in Fisetin are not easily visible in powder, we used certain solutions to check the impurity. BeFisetin not only has a clean light yellow color in powder but also as clean in solutions.
High quality raw materials are the basic for qualified end products. To select the right plant source for Fisetin extraction, we retrieved and studied the literature thoroughly. Historically fisetin has been extracted from the trunk of Rhus tree. However, the tree grows slowly and it takes several, even hundreds, of years before the trees can be harvested and used. Thus, each tree can only be used once. We conducted a series of studies to extract Fisetin from leaves and branches since sustainable and eco-friendly development is Bonerge's commitment.
We carefully determined the content of fisetin in other parts of the Rhus succedanea, with branches and leaves gradually being used instead of trunk. Today Bonerge uses only leaves to produce BeFisetin® on a large scale.
We work closely with the largest Toxicodendron succedaneum L.(syn: Rhus succedanea) plantation in China, as well as with rural cooperatives.
We source high-quality, raw ingredients that can be traced through every step as they journey to you from start to finish.
Our process allows Bonerge to continue to meet the highest standards for purity, traceability and transparency that's backed by strict controls, monitoring and tracking to provide our customers with products they trust.
At Bonerge, we maintain a commitment to total traceability at every stage of product development. It means documented processes throughout the chain of delivery. It also means being transparent and showing you how we source, test and deliver our products.
BeFisetin is extacted by clean water and no use of harmful chemicals, like methanol, to present more health benefits to customers. This is achieved by choosing continuous countercurrent extraction equipment for fisetin extraction with a capacity of 3,000kg/h.
The ultra-effective countercurrent extraction equipment consumes only one third of the solvent compared to traditional extracting equipment. The combination of countercurrent water flow and constant mixing during extraction saves energy, reduces water waste, and has minimal impact on the environment.
We are the only one manufacture to extract fisetin by continuous extraction line. Our facility is equipped with two continuous countercurrent extraction lines. The high-efficiency equipment saved about 70% production time and solvent with 10 times more output than traditional extraction tank. Less input means less ecological footprint.
